difference between DECIMAL and NUMERIC type

Hi,

Is there any difference between these 2 types DECIMAL(?,?) and NUMERIC(?,?)...

would appreciate your replies...

In Netezza DECIMAL is the same as NUMERIC - they can be used interchangeably and require the same amount of storage etc.
